Freelance Field Guide
Sean is available to guide on a free-lance basis for safari lodges or privately. He has in excess of 15 years experience and has guided in environments
from South Africa’s wildlife mecca, The Lowveld to the deserts of Namibia. Sean specialises in photographic expertise. His specific interests include
birding and tracking. He is a FGASA level 3 trails guide.
Training & Assessment
Sean and his partner Megan Emmett offer a dynamic guides-training duo. They are available on a pro rata basis as stand-in trainers
for established
Ecotourism or Field Guide Training institutes. They are also available to initiate and conduct training programs in situ (i.e. at the actual
game lodge or reserve).
Both Sean and Megan are Theta and FGASA accredited assessors and can assess candidates for FGASA level 1, 2 and 3. In this regard they
are available to arrange a visit to the candidate’s place of work. They are also available to lodges to assess their teams for national compliancy.

Fine-art Photographic Prints
Sean’s work is best appreciated as giant sized fine-art photographic prints. These are used by interior designers in
both the corporate environment and private households.
Sean produces limited edition prints of people, abstracts, landscapes and wildlife all of which are printed to archival quality.
Both colour and black and white are available.
Some prints are available in a few exclusive game lodges. These prints relate directly to the particular reserve so that
guests can take some of their memories home in
professional format.

Wildlife Journalism & Editorial
Sean’s photographic work has been featured many times in various local and international publications. These include Africa Geographic, Country Life,
Sawubona Magazine, African Sporting Gazette, The South African, Sports Afield (USA) and Practical Photography (UK).
Sean most often works hand-in-hand with writer Megan Emmett to produce feature pieces for wildlife and photography related publications.
They have contributed especially regularly to the South African wildlife publication Africa Geographic which reaches 160 000 readers every month,
half of which are outside Africa. The magazine features in 230 game lodges and hotels. Sean has featured on the cover of this prestigious South African publication.
Sean and Megan are available to do commissioned editorial work.
